Several months into the Biden administration, the U.S. Department of Justice issued this update on its China Initiative. Matthew Olsen has replaced John Demers as Assistant Attorney General for National Security. Many remain critical of the initiative's design and implementation, though not of its intent to protect U.S. intellectual property and national security.
