Update - U.S. Dept. of Justice on Its China Initiative
Several months into the Biden administration, the U.S. Department of Justice issued this update on its China Initiative. Matthew Olsen has replaced John Demers as Assistant Attorney General for National Security. Many remain critical of the initiative's design and implementation, though not of its intent to protect U.S. intellectual property and national security. This U.S. Army publication (ATP 7-100.3) examines Chinese military tactics. It is part of a publication series addressing the military doctrines of various states. It focuses on army ground forces and tactical operations in offense, defense and related missions. The preface explains, “The tactics in this ATP are descriptive, and provide an orientation to tactics gathered from Chinese doctrine, translated literature, and observations from recent historical events.”
