A panel of experts from the People’s Republic and the United States will discuss the Chinese government's new regulations on religion and their implications for Christian communities, focusing on the interplay between the globalization and localization processes of Christianity in China.

After the plenary session of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party last November, a decision was made to convene a working group to develop a new set of regulations for managing religious activities. Questions and commentary about the new approaches to Christianity will be offered by several American scholars and representatives of religious organizations engaged in China.

This talk will focus on the monochrome ceramics in our new exhibition, Emperors’ Treasures – Chinese Art from the National Palace Museum, Taipei.
