Lingnan W.T. Chan Fellowships Program

About

The Lingnan W.T. Chan Fellowships Program provides educational and leadership opportunities for Chinese students through service learning and intercultural experiences in the United States.

Hosted by the USC US-China institute, the Chan Fellows are immersed in U.S. society and culture. For the months of August to January, Chan Fellows live with homestay families and work with Los Angeles nonprofit organizations that address a critical social need. Fellows attend weekly seminars, leadership training, cultural events, educational excursions, field trips, and other campus-community events.

At their core, the Chan Fellowships seek to nurture a lifelong commitment to service. Through service, the Fellows strengthen their intercultural communication, flexibility, experience, and non-profit professionalism.
