It will feature topics such as visual aesthetics, creative techniques, and the cultural and economic significance of these objects at the time they were produced and in the modern era.
Jennifer Chen is an independent researcher and writer on Chinese art, specializing in ceramics. She was educated in China and the U.S. as an art historian. Her curatorial experience includes working at the Shanghai Museum, Sotheby's in New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Seattle Art Museum.
