At the invitation of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of the Republic of Uganda, Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council of the People's Republic of China paid an official visit to the Republic of Uganda from June 23-24, 2006. It was the first visit by a Chinese premier to Uganda.
