The London museum houses a tremendous collection and has invested in building a robust and well-organized website. Many museums offer some images of materials in their collection, but the Victoria & Albert Museum offers short and informative articles about a number of topics. Here are a few:
Plants in English, Chinese, and Indian art (http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/t/a-teachers-resource-plant-motifs/)
Ruling in China (http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/r/ruling-in-china/)
Manchu footwear (something I've not seen anywhere else: http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/journals/research-journal/issue-02/manchu-horse-hoof-shoes-footwear-and-cultural-identity/).
Ukiyo-e: Images of the Floating World (http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/u/ukiyo-e-pictures-of-the-floating-world/)
An entire section of the site is devoted to several articles about kimonos (http://www.vam.ac.uk/page/k/kimono/)
Most of the images can be enlarged and are well-documented with location, era, and other information. Easily one of the most user-friendly and informative museum websites available.
