The Japanese American Museum is very easy to get to...parking is another matter. But the Metro stops right across the street. Lunch in Little Tokyo a block away makes it a perfect day out. The museum itself is very well organized, beautiful, and informative. It can be difficult for younger children however. And while it shows important facets of Japanese American history that should be remembered, it would be difficult to discuss with some. The temporary exhibit of Hello Kitty however is another matter. Despite $20 per adult and $10 for children (use the price to upgrade to member status) it is still worth a visit if you enjoy the pop phenomena of Hello Kitty. There are some great displays here for kids, adults, and all in between. Fancy suits, wedding dresses, guitars, accessories, etc. It's a fun exhibit to go to...until April 2015 anyway.
