This unit was designed for third graders. During the unit, students will learn about the Los Angeles River and Yellow River, comparing and contrasting the two locations and considering how they have changed over time. As a culminating project, students will create an advocacy project (PSA, essay, poster, etc.) that shares the information they've learned and calls others to action to help protect these waterways.

I am impressed with your lesson. I did my lesson on geography of China for 3rd graders, but I struggled with relating it to the 3rd grade standards about local geography. Way to go!
