The Fall of the Ming, was directed by Wang Jing and writing by Xiaodong Xie, Rongyang Zhou, and release in China in October 24, 2013. I truly enjoyed this movie, because it has a drama and a lot of history. Even though, I will not be able to use this film this year with my 8th graders, I recommended it for 7th grade world history unit on China. The film's main characters are the army field marshal, and a healer named Wu Youke, who worked together to cure the disease that is killing Chinese soldiers. Dr. Youke, was ahead of his time, he discovered that the disease was spread through the air and carried by pathogens.
This film shows how the Chinese army was poorly armed, and starving. The field marshal was desperate to advance to the capital, that he was willing to take land from the farm landowners in order to raise revenue to provide for the army. This film is great in showing Chinese's traditional clothing, weaponry, food, and daily struggle.

Film Review-The Fall of the Ming
The Fall of the Ming, was the film I choose for my film review, because I have always been fascinated by Chinese's dynasties. This film doesn't fit in the 8th grade U.S. History curriculum, but I really enjoyed watching it.
