when I started the Chinese Culture Club in San Pedro, I had many juniors and seniors.
Last year after graduation, The Chinese club lost many members, and now I am in the process of recruiting new members and getting them engaged.
with the many difficulties we are facing, students are getting harder to motivate. The more eager students want to participate in sports, or in activities that help them get "extra credit"
One of the things that I use to my advantage and that students like, is the possibility of going on a field trip.
Next month we will be going to the Chinese American Museum thanks to the sponsorship of both the Chinese American Museum and the Magnet Program, since many of the members are actually magnet students.
The following g 2 links have been attempts of keeping the students informed about the club.
we meet only 1/2 a hour a week during lunch on Wednesdays, and although we try to stay connected electronically, many students do not find the time to explore these links or claim not to have access.

I am not going to get rid of these two resources just yet, but I am going to concentrate more in activities. projects. posters, movies, and of course FOOD!!!
