One of the videos I watched over the break is World War II in Colour on Netflix. This is obviously a video on WWI, but there is a section devoted to the start of the war in Asia (Minutes 11:00-20:00). It explains and shows primary sources of Japan entering China and a bit on the war, which we discussed in class. It also has an emphasis on the lack of action by the League of Nations, and shows Japanese officials walking out of the League’s meeting. This can be useful to as a supporting documentary to topics covered in class.
I have been into this series. It is phenomenal. It's very graphic. Do you think it would be appropriate to show to high schoolers?
