Synopsis
(Peoples Republic of China/United States, 2013) Dir./Scr.: Keola Racela
Shanghai of the 1930s was a cosmopolitan port city often called “The Paris of the East.” But under that glamorous façade was a seedy underbelly of crime and corruption. At the Sea of Pearls nightclub and brothel, Fei is tasked with preparing a young newcomer, Li, for an encounter with a French police officer. When the encounter turns deadly, Fei enacts a plan to ensure that the murderous cop won’t be able to harm anyone else again.
