The Pacific Asia Museum presents a lecture and demonstration by Taiwanese opera legend Liao Chiung-Chih

A unique lecture and performance by living legend Liao Chiung-chih, who began her operatic career at age 10. After more than 60 years of performing, she is a central figure in the intriguing history and development of traditional Taiwanese opera.
The program includes demonstrations and discussion of the traditional poses and voices of Taiwanese opera, plus costumed performances of key scenes.
A light reception will follow. Presented in partnership with Taiwan Academy.
