Dr. Wei Xu is Associate Professor, Assistant to Dean, and Chair of the Department of Dance at Nanjing University of the Arts, one of CSUN's sister universities in China. She is a member of the Dancers Association of China and an executive member of the Council of Chinese Arts-Medicine Association. She received her bachelor and master degrees from Beijing Dance Academy and her Ph.D. on dance choreography from the Chinese National Academy of Arts. Her publications include Appreciation of Chinese and Foreign Dance, Appreciation of Chinese National and Folk Dance, and History and Appreciation of Chinese Dance.
