You are cordially invited to the Los Angeles launch of this groundbreaking study with Orville Schell, Arthur Ross Director, Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations for an exclusive presentation and discussion with an esteem group of panelists including John Bellinger, Partner at Arnold & Porter and Legal Adviser to the Department of State from 2005 to 2009 under Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and previously as the Legal Adviser to the National Security Council (NSC) at the White House from 2001-2005.

Last June during one of Asia Society’s global policy sessions on Capitol Hill, the topic of Chinese investment in the U.S. was discussed.  The consensus was that this is an important topic, filled with mixed emotions and misinformation, and that preparing accurate, factual data and combining it with perspective from business leaders was something sorely needed. One Senator suggested that Asia Society was best prepared to organize such a study.

Since that time, Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations, under the direction of Orville Schell, has taken up this topic.  This research project is a collaboration with the Rhodium Group, Monitor, and the Kissinger Institute on China and the U.S. at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
