Experience the full power of Bingyi’s Cascade -- a monumental, abstract ink painting that fills the Smart Museum’s reception hall -- during a concert that unites visual and musical expression. Drawing on traditional Chinese ink painting and opera, the afternoon performance mixes flute and pipa (lute) music with free-style improvised chanting to evoke the movement of water from cascade to cloud. The concert will be performed by Wei Xing and Zhang Yuanyuan with lyrics and narrative composed by Bingyi.
