RMB City is a realm, within the virtual world of Second Life, created by the Chinese artist Cao Fei. The city, a reflection of China’s urban explosion, is also meant to be a site where the art community can go online and participate in projects within the digital cosmos. Three videos document life in the city, Birth of RMB City, Live in RMB City, and People’s Limbo in RMB City. In addition to the videos, visitors can log into Second Life and explore RMB City for themselves.
