Wokai is a microfinance organization that helps individuals like us connect with rural China's entrepreneurs to make small loans that help them sustain their businesses and families.
To celebrate the creation of the new Los Angeles chapter, Wokai is holding its first LA event. Speakers include Kiva Co-founder Jessica Jackley as well as social media strategist Mike Prasad, and Cause Media Group founder, Chris Noble. They will discuss what Microfinance is, who Wokai is, and how social media is helping to break the barriers between developed and third world countries.
