Where
The government statistics and Census data of China provides comprehensive demographic and business information for the research and education on China. This presentation will give an introduction to some background information of China government statistics, Census data, and GIS data, including methodologies, definitions, and data coverage. The presentation will demonstrate how the demographic and business data can be integrated with the GIS maps of China at province, prefecture, county, township, and grid levels. Some innovative technologies and applications in regional development, migration, environment, disaster assessment, religious and cultural studies, and household surveys will be introduced for advanced spatial data studies of China.
