Masters of Chinese Martial Arts
In conjunction with the Cinema Pacific Film Festival focus on the arts of wushu, the Confucius Institute for Global China Studies is delighted to present an afternoon of traditional and contemporary martial arts.
In conjunction with the Cinema Pacific Film Festival focus on the arts of wushu, the Confucius Institute for Global China Studies is delighted to present an afternoon of traditional and contemporary martial arts. Special performers include Shaolin gongfu (kung fu) actor and Chinese martial arts grand master Hu Jianqiang, and international wushu judge and wushu master Zong Jianmei from the Shaolin Wushu Center in Los Angeles; wing chun kung fu master David Leung from Leung Martial Arts in Eugene; and the University of Oregon Wushu Club.
Please join the masters for a lively performance of a wide variety of styles of gongfu (kung fu) and taiji forms as presented in such famous films as Shaolin Temple, South Shaolin vs. North Shaolin, Yellow River Fighter, Drunken Master III, and Shogun’s Shadow.
