The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens present a lecture by Hao Sheng on the history of Weng Tonghe's life and his collection on display at the Huntington.

Hao Sheng, curator of Chinese art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will discuss the life of Weng Tonghe’s (1830—1904), founder of the collection currently on view at The Huntington in the exhibition “Treasures through Six Generations.”

 

 

This lecture is related to the exhibition, “Treasures through Six Generations: Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Weng Collection” (April 11— July 13, 2009 at The MaryLou and George Boone Gallery)
