Join us for a free one-day workshop for educators at the Japanese American National Museum, hosted by the USC U.S.-China Institute and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. This workshop will include a guided tour of the beloved exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community, slated to close permanently in January 2025. Following the tour, learn strategies for engaging students in the primary source artifacts, images, and documents found in JANM’s vast collection and discover classroom-ready resources to support teaching and learning about the Japanese American experience.

中文电影片段在语言教学中的运用
随着多媒体运用技术的发展和普及，将中文原版电影融入中文语言教学越发变得
实际可行。电影之所以在语言教学领域得到重视是因为它弥补了语言教科书的不足。
视听并举，生动自然的语言和非语言性交际，以及社会文化环境等均为语言和文化同步
教学创造了最佳条件。虽然运用电影优化语言教学已有几十年历史，但是采用电影片段作为语言
课中精视教材的教学尚待研发。本研讨会旨在：一、 与同行教师分享几个为中文电影小片段设计
并实践过的教学课件实例；二、 交流在运用电影片段的教学中所遇到的疑难问题及解决办法。
教学课件主要演示如何通过各种活动引导学生学习目标语的语言知识和交际技能，更重要的是通过对目标
社会文化中的语用进行分析思考来深化对语言深层内涵—隐性文化的认识、诠释。本研讨会的教学实例
分别适用于中文初、中、高级的普通班，略经改变也可用于华裔班。
