The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the University of Southern California (USC) cordially invite you to attend the US-Australian Dialogue: Partners in the Asia Pacific on Tuesday, 14 January, 2014 at the USC Ronald Tutor Campus Centre, Los Angeles CA.

The aim of the Dialogue is to explore how Australia and the US are working as partners in the Asia-Pacific to ensure a prosperous and thriving Asian region. Asia’s rise is the defining feature of the 21st century. The pace of the political and economic ascent of the region is unparalleled and comes at a time when global partnerships have never been more important. By 2025, Asia will not only be the world’s larg­est producer of goods and services, it will also be home to the majority of the world’s middle class.

Conference Sessions Include:

·         The US-Australia alliance in an Asia-Pacific context

·         How to grow regional trade through the Trans-Pacific Partnership

·         US-China-Australia political and strategic issues

·         Business and investment opportunities emerging from Asia’s expanding middle class.
