About the artist...

Zhonggui Shi was born in China and is a highly acclaimed artist who is well known both in China and abroad. In 2000, he was awarded the title of "Academician" by Academy of Arts-Sciences-Lettres of France, the first time the title had been awarded to an artist of Chinese citizenship since its founding in 1915.

About the Gallery...

From Beijing to Los Angeles, the spectrum of contemporary Asian and Asian Culture inspired arts have become more complex. Media, culture, globalization, and technology have inspired and shaped not only the content, but also the dissemination of art.

Bamboo Lane Gallery is making every effort to exhibit paintings, videos, photography, performances, assemblages, sculptures and installations by established contemporary Asian artists, as well as by local contemporary artists, whose work reflects the influence from Far East. Symposia and forums will also be hosted periodically to bridge the communication between artists and gallery viewers.
