Tally Beck Contemporary’s artist roster at the fair includes Chen Jiao, Chen Ping, Lenore Lim and Chath pierSath.

Chen Jiao is an award-winning Chinese artist whose precisionist, mixed media canvases refer to her childhood memories in Sichuan and offer a subtle subversive political statements about totalitarianism. She had her first solo exhibition in New York with Tally Beck Contemporary in 2011.

Chen Ping is a Chinese artist currently based in Hobart, Tasmania. His large-scale canvases and studies on paper demonstrate his proficiency in semi-abstract oil painting. His subject matter often centers on Chinese mythology, and his technique shows a remarkable balance between traditional Chinese painting styles and Western mediums. He has had two solo exhibitions with Tally Beck Contemporary in the past two years.

Lenore Lim is a Filipina printmaker who is based in Vancouver, New York and Singapore. Her recent series of lithographs comprised a highly successful show last month at Tally Beck Contemporary. Her subject matter typically combines botanical forms with abstract elements and sometimes reflects feminist historicity of Filipino identity.

Chath pierSath is a Cambodian artist, poet and humanitarian. He lost much of his family during the Khmer Rouge regime and was forced into a labor camp as a child before fleeing to Thailand in 1979. In 1981, he immigrated to the United States. He later earned in his BA at World College West in international service and development. He currently has a solo exhibition running at Tally Beck Contemporary called I’m Here.
