Dr. Philip Y. M. Yang was appointed Minister of Taiwan's Government Information Office on May 2, 2011. Dr. Yang is a former professor in the Department of Political Science at National Taiwan University, specializing in international law and Asia-Pacific security. He was a Fulbright Scholar and received a B.A. and M.A. from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. from University of Virginia.
