Sino-US Relations after President Hu's Visit
Ma Zhengang, former Chinese Ambassador to the UK, will speak on Sino-US relations at UC Berkeley.
Ma Zhengang is president of the China Institute of International Studies and of the Center for China-US Relations Studies. Ambassador Ma also served as director-general in the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and vice-minister of the Foreign Office of the State Council. He also served as ambassador of China to the United Kingdom. Ambassador Ma graduated from the Beijing Foreign Languages Institute (now known as Beijing Foreign Studies University) and studied at Ealing Technical College and later at the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom.
