AUTUMN -- A young girl, Qiu Lan, lives with her aging father in rural Shaan Xi, China. One night, she overhears her father talk of her fate and future to a friend. Tragedy occurs to this broken family. Helpless, Qiu Lan must overcome her circumstances to survive from the clutches of the predators surrounding her in the changing countryside of revolutionary China.
