“People’s Republic of Love” examines the cultural, economic and political implications of contemporary love in China, including the impact of dating shows on television, the matchmaking business and the struggles of lesbian and gay couples. Q&A with Producer Yizhou Xu, who is a PhD student at the UW-Madison.
One of four documentaries being screened through the "Asian American Media Spotlight," organized by the UW-Madison’s Department of Asian American Studies, with filmmakers available to talk with the audience after each show. The public is welcome to this free series.
