Panel Discussion: Did TRA fulfill its intended purpose? What are the prospects?—In commemoration of 35th anniversary

The Institute for Taiwanese Research hosts a discussion to evaluate the performance of Taiwan Relations Act(TRA) and to explore its future prospects.

April 5, 2014 1:30pm to 4:30pm

As Taiwan Relations Act (TRA), enacted on April 10, 1979, near 35th anniversary, it is the time to seriously review its intended main purpose: to help maintain peace, security, and stability in the Western Pacific.  In hope of improving future US-Taiwan relationship, ITS invites experts to evaluate the past performance of TRA and explore the possible changes for future Taiwan policy.
