The Cleveland Museum of Art will screen Nixon in China.
Where
By special arrangement with The Metropolitan Opera, we present a screening of the Met’s recent production of John Adams’ 1987 opera about Richard Nixon’s historic 1972 visit to the People’s Republic of China. Peter Sellars directed the production, which features James Maddalena as Nixon. Total running time of 176 minutes includes intermission content but no breaks. Complements the special exhibition Chinese Art in an Age of Revolution: Fu Baoshi (1904–1965), on view October 16, 2011–January 8, 2012.
