Harvard University's Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies presents a screening of "Mr. Deng Goes to Washington." After the film, there will be a discussion with the film's director, Mr. Fu Hongxing, in Chinese.

Mr. Deng Goes to Washington is a 2015 Chinese historical documentary film written and directed by Fu Hongxing.  It stars Deng Xiaoping, Jimmy Carter, Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Rina Sa, and Chan Tin-suen. The film tells the story of Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping's official visit to the U.S. in 1979. The film was released on 15 May 2015 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the U.S.  To learn more about the film, please see here for an article in The New York Times
