In addition to wandering the pathways and taking in the fragrance of flowers, enjoy special Mother’s Day performances and make your own Mother's Day card! Cards have both Chinese and English greetings, and a variety of stamps and inks are available for making your own one-of-a-kind work of art.
There will even be a Mother’s Day Calligraphy Art Demonstration. Celebrate Mom with a demonstration of exquisite calligraphic art. Perhaps even take home her own special piece of calligraphy art (individual calligraphy pieces to take home may require a small fee to the artist). Calligraphy is a high art in Chinese culture. See why the writing of beautiful characters is so revered, and watch as expert calligrapher Zhao Ze Ming creates a colorful painting that builds on the ancient art's techniques.
All events are free with garden admission or membership; no registration required. Supplies are provided.
