On September 29, 2024, the USC U.S.-China Institute hosted a workshop at the Huntington’s Chinese garden, offering K-12 educators hands-on insights into using the garden as a teaching tool. Monkey King: A Journey to China
The Bowers Kidseum presents the first ever children's exhibition that focuses on the classic 16th century Chinese story about the Buddhist monk and scripture pilgrim, Xuan Zang, who takes a journey along China's Silk Road.
Where
To engage children in the story and Chinese culture, Kidseum will dramatically transform into an environment filled with the sights and sounds of China.
Monkey King: A Journey to China opens at Kidseum on June 15, 2008 and runs through August 31, 2008. The exhibition compliments Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China’s First Emperor, which is on view at the Bowers Museum from May 18, 2008 to October 12, 2008.
Public Hours
Kidseum will be closed from June 1st through June 14th in preparation for its first ever traveling exhibit: Monkey King: A Journey to China
