University of Southern California's Lunch with a Leader provides students with the opportunity to converse with the Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles, Doane Liu.

Lunch with a Leader provides students with the opportunity to hear ideas from local, state, and national leaders as well as share their ideas and gain inspiration for effective governance in an enjoyable, informal setting.
Doane Liu, Deputy Mayor Los Angeles
Doane Liu was appointed to be one of four Deputy Mayors by Mayor Eric Garcetti in July 2013. Leading the Mayor’s Office of City Services, Doane oversees 15 city departments and bureaus that deliver basic city services to the residents of Los Angeles -- including DWP, Public Works, Transportation, Recreation and Parks and Library. His office is focused on the Mayor’s goals of restoring the City services that make our neighborhoods livable and attractive and providing excellent customer service to our residents and businesses.
