Dr. Zhou Yongming is a professor in the the University of Wisconsin's Department of Anthropology. Dr. Zhou's research interests include Globalization, Development, Cultural Change, Political Economy, Media Politics, Environment, Political Ecology, Nationalism, Ethnicity, Tourism, Drugs, Cyberspace, and China (Especially southwest China and Tibetan areas).

In this talk at the University of Illinois, Zhou Yongming will address political participation in Chinese cyberspace. This talk is a focal point event in the "Reinventing East Asia Speaker Series".
