Panelists will offer an analysis of the protests, including the historical background of the protests, the contemporary context of the protests, and present-day Hong Kong and Chinese relations. Panelists include Tim Oakes, Professor of Geography and Director of the Center for Asian Studies; Timothy Weston, Associate Professor of History and Associate Director of the Center for Asian Studies; and Yang Yang, Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Geography.
