Join us for a free one-day workshop for educators at the Japanese American National Museum, hosted by the USC U.S.-China Institute and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. This workshop will include a guided tour of the beloved exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community, slated to close permanently in January 2025. Following the tour, learn strategies for engaging students in the primary source artifacts, images, and documents found in JANM’s vast collection and discover classroom-ready resources to support teaching and learning about the Japanese American experience.

I of IV: Understanding Legal Structure, Selling and Collections in China Presented by 1st PMF Bancorp
Mr. Henry Liao, the Managing Partner at Schinders Law Offices (Guangzhou, China) with Juris Degrees in China, U.S., and the UK will give a presentation on the Chinese legal structures of business in China. Highlighted points will relate to U.S. companies that may be working with or may be evaluating an M&A and/or Chinese investment. Mr. Liao will also discuss the Chinese legal process for collections and recovery, with processes based on selling to Chinese companies in China.
