A rising star in the world of contemporary dance, Beijing-based choreographer Gu Jiani presents the Los Angeles premiere of her powerful work Right & Left. Performed by Gu with Wang Xuanqi, the piece is a haunting exploration of human relationships that uses little more than the dancers’ delicately poised bodies, two chairs, and the play of shadows to examine themes of unity and its dissolution. This event will be held in Rothenberg Hall.
