Conference on Uygur Archaeology, University of Pennsylvania
The conference will explore Uygur remains, especially in the context of Tang China and as they relate to material evidence of other nomadic peoples of East and Central Asia, particularly Turk and Kitan.
The conference is sponsored by the Center for East Asian Studies and the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology of the University of Pennsylvania.
Participants include: Christopher Atwood, Jan Bemmann, Gwen Bennett, Zsuzsanna Gulasci, Renata Holod, Tigran Mkrtychev, Tsulten Odbataar, Lilla Russell-Smith, Nancy Steinhardt, and Joshua Wright.
Admission is free, but pre-registration is required.
