Join us for a free one-day workshop for educators at the Japanese American National Museum, hosted by the USC U.S.-China Institute and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. This workshop will include a guided tour of the beloved exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community, slated to close permanently in January 2025. Following the tour, learn strategies for engaging students in the primary source artifacts, images, and documents found in JANM’s vast collection and discover classroom-ready resources to support teaching and learning about the Japanese American experience.
Chinese Ambassador Cui Tiankai to Speak at Nixon Library
The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the United States, Cui Tiankai, will visit the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum on Tuesday, May 27 to honor President Nixon's historic journey to China in 1972, and commemorate the 35th anniversary of normalization of relations between the two nations.

Ambassador Cui will be joined by Representative Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and representative for the 39th District, which includes Yorba Linda and the Presidential Library.
The Nixon Foundation is hosting a luncheon on May 27 at 12:30 p.m. with Mr. Cui and Rep. Royce in the Library’s White House East Room. Both leaders will give remarks. Individual tickets on sale now. Table host opportunities are available, which include program recognition, private VIP reception with Ambassador Cui Tiankai and Rep. Royce, and preferred table seating.
