The Chinese economy continues to impress with per capita GDP growth in excess of 8 percent. But scratch below the surface and one observes a mixture of enormous dynamism and huge political and economic constraints. This talk will revisit China's growth with an eye to the sources of its growth, as well as the nature of the constraints that it faces as it tries to make itself into a world economic power.
