China Week 2016: California - China Business Summit
CHINAWEEK is an annual, week-long series of events across the Los Angeles region featuring cutting edge speakers and activities highlighting US-China relations across a variety of sectors including arts & culture, business, education, entertainment, environment, science & technology, public affairs, tourism, and philanthropy.
Join this historic opportunity to advance California-China business relationships by participating in the California-China Business Summit taking place during CHINAWEEK.
This premier event provides an unprecedented opportunity to meet with executives from seven Chinese provinces who will be together in California for the first time under California’s strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China’s Ministry of Commerce. (See the complete list here: Delegate List)
The MOU, which implements the agreement reached by Chinese President Xi Jinping and California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. to expand trade and investment cooperation, links California to seven of China’s most economically advanced regions including Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Shanghai, Chongqing and Inner Mongolia; and provides a framework to boost economic growth and enhance communication between China and California.
The day-long business summit is specially designed for business leaders involved in or contemplating engagements with China and is an historic opportunity to connect with key Chinese executives in attendance from the seven provinces.
A dual track approach will offer meaningful content for both visiting Chinese executives and American businesses interested in expanding.
135 Chinese executives representing 60 Chinese companies are confirmed to attend.
