7:00pm: The Blood of Yingzhao District (39 minutes) Director Ruby Yang; China/US, 2006; A year in the life of children in the Province of Anhui in China, who have lost their parents to AIDS. Winner of an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject 2007.
7:45pm: Care and Love (120 minutes) Director Ai Xiaoming; China, 2006; Mandarin with English subtitles An intelligent and insightful reflection upon the emerging consciousness of citizens, faced with the growing problem of AIDS in their midst, of their own rights in the grassroots of the Chinese countryside.
