Professor V. Setty Pendakur, Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia, is an alumnus of the University of Washington, receiving his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering and Public Policy in 1964. He has served in the private sector as well as the public sector and taught Transportation Planning and Public Policy at the University of British Columbia for 31 years. Then he started his new life as President of Pacific Policy and Planning Associates, a boutique firm specializing in policy development in developing countries, more particularly in Asia.
