This symposium is a lead-up event to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit that will be held in Honolulu November 12-13, 2011. APEC is the premier economic organization in the Asia-Pacific region that facilitates economic cooperation. The United States will host 20 heads of state and ministers from the dynamic economies of Asia, Latin America and North America.
The program features a keynote presentation by Jeffrey Wasserstrom (UC Irvine) on “China in the American Imagination.”
