Grab your favorite friend or family member or come on your own to this fun morning exploring the world of tea. A look at the museum's permanent collection traces tea from its first use in ancient China through trade routes to Europe. Along the way, tea commerce gave rise to beautiful traditions in art, from Chinese and French porcelain to English Neoclassical silver. After a private tour, enjoy a tea service at Ray's, sampling different kinds of tea along with an array of pastries and other treats.

The event will be led by culinary historian Maite Gomez-Rejón of Art Bites, along with Mary Lenihan, the museum's Director of Adult Programs. Both have recently returned from trips to London, where they picked up new insights about the world of tea.
