On May 12th, 2008 a devastating earthquake shook Sichuan province in China. Over 88,000 were killed and more than 5 million left homeless or relocated. Two years later the rebuilding continues while many children remain separated from their parents.

Please join us for a special evening with the creators of AFTERQUAKE, an album dedicated to the families affected by the Sichuan earthquakes two years later. Produced by American folk artist Abigail Washburn and electronic artist Dave Liang of The Shanghai Restoration Project in cooperation with Sichuan Quake Relief, the project remixes voices and sounds from the China earthquake zone to raise awareness for victims still in need.

A PANEL DISCUSSION follows with members of international NGOs serving to help rebuild in areas around the world affected by earthquakes. We will discuss international, media, and popular reactions and aid to Sichuan, Haiti and other sites as well as the need for continual long-term aid to these areas.
