The weekend of March 24-26, 2011 there will be a variety off activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire that occurred on March 25, 1911, in which 146 young workers lost their lives and which forever changed the relationship of American government to the workplace. A/P/A Institute is cosponsoring the Friday, March 25th evening event, featuring worker testimony about today's labor conditions around the world, including a talk by Katie Quan about a program to bridge relations between garment workers and other labor activists in the U.S. and China.
