Join us for a free one-day workshop for educators at the Japanese American National Museum, hosted by the USC U.S.-China Institute and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. This workshop will include a guided tour of the beloved exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community, slated to close permanently in January 2025. Following the tour, learn strategies for engaging students in the primary source artifacts, images, and documents found in JANM’s vast collection and discover classroom-ready resources to support teaching and learning about the Japanese American experience.
The United Nations: Its Mission and Work
Mr. Huang Hongjiang, China's representative to the United Nations, will join the South Korean, Saudi Arabian, Yememi, Montenegran, and Bosnian UN representatives at USC.
Huang Hongjiang joined China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1996. He was educated at Xiamen University and the Foreign Affairs University of China. He’s served in the Ministry’s Africans affairs, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan affairs, and consular affairs departments and served in Monrovia, Liberia and Sydney, Australia prior to joining China’s U.N. Mission.
USC students and faculty are invited to attend the USC Center for International Studies discussion of the UN and its work.
